Vintage Monarch Model "A" Lathe year id help & locating friction gear for the apron
does any 1 know about what year my Monarch is? I purchased it about 2 months ago for $1000, it came with 9" independent 4 jaw chuck, 6" self aligning 3 jaw chuck, single bolt tailstock, steady rest, follow rest, milling attachment, a lot of pulleys to change speeds right off the motor, a 1hp repulsion induction 1725 rpm 110/220V motor, all but 1 change gears for threading & look like theyve never been used, a few of the original 1 piece cutting tools that have (I think) factory #s on them plus a L,R, & S 5/16" bit tool holders boring bar + holder & cutoff holder, a lot of tailstock tools, & after purchased I bought a 10" self aligning 3 jaw chuck. the ways have a few dings close to the chuck but otherwise machine is very tight. its marked A LOT64 NO 8 on the tailstock end. power feed end to end & across or both at same time. but the power feeding is down at the moment cause the gear keeps spitting teeth out at me. id like to find all replacement gears for behind the apron just to have on hand if possible. any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Thanks Brandon
