Forming new Scraping Class in Zansville OHIO in August 2018

I have been getting calls from people in Ohio to do a class in 2018. I just talked to John Saunders (NYC CNC on You Tube) and heres what we decided on.

From Thursday August 2 - Monday thru Monday August 6, 2018

Learn to Rebuild and Scrape your lathe, Milling Machine, Surface Grinder, etc.

I will teach you how to hand scraper, Biax Power scrape, hand and power 1/2 moon flake, how to straighten and scape a gib, how to install and scrape Rulon 142 Teflon wear-strip material, basic leveling and alignment techniques, sharpen a scraper blade, How to level and align machines, rebuilding Tricks of the Trade.

You will bring along your own personal project or we will supply you one. Most bring an angle-block or Straight-edge, lathe compound or cross-slide, milling machine table, cast iron surface plate, etc. - Search Richard King Scraping - on you tube to see how the classes go.

Teaching my classes for over 40 years around the world to new machine builders in Germany, USA, Taiwan, Norway, Sweden, UK. Graduation Certificate given. I supply most of the tools but would like to bring along a Handscraper. I will be adding more ads to be held at other locations and dates here in the USA in 2018.

A short list of Customers are General Motors, GE, Timken, Cummins, Dozens of new machine builders in Taiwan.
Machine rebuilders in Germany, Hobbyists in UK, Sweden, Norway, etc. I estimate I have over 35,000 students all over the world. Taught at Keith Ruckers and John Saunders who have thousands of followers on You Tube.

Any chance that you are visiting Washington State this year?

Possible class about 1 hour south of Portland OR in end of Sept.

Would that class be in Salem, Oregon? I am interested to say the least. Of course money and the dates could be an issue, as I am going on vacation the 29th of Sept. But I would like to attend this class. Please let me know how to stay informed about possible dates time, etc. Thanks!

No one seemed interested in that class. The shop owner is now deciding if he wants to do the job or just get buy with the way the machines are working. I needed to press him yesterday as I want to go to the IMTS show, plus the weekend before is my 50TH HS class reunion and I can't miss it either. If the Oregon class happens it will start 9/24 now....I'll let everyone know if it happens. Rich
