FS: Monarch 10EE Lathe

Thanks. My ignorance is shining through. Do you know of a source for one? - Lee

Carquest "for temporary" on mine. Lot of us using stock NAPA-coded serpentine belts, vee-in or smooth backside in.

Once everything ELSE is sorted, then Monarch Lathe from parts-bin, or MMC from custom order. They usually last one helluva long time, to wit "rest of MY life", so I'm not all that fussed as to cost.

And meanwhile ... you need to get that motor ID'ed so a prospective purchaser knows if they have to budget a new motor and drive.

They'll be in good company here if they decide to alter it. MG and later all have at least three viable options:

- OEM restoral

- DC motor retention, modern DC Drive (that is appropriate, not just any-old)

- VFD conversion

"Sundstrand era" cramped base casting, we don't yet have a "school answer" for.

Other than Sundstrand rebuild. For which on has to have at lest MOST of the OEM PARTS, of course.
