South Bend Precision Lathe, Model A, 4 ft bed, Catalog # L744A
On steel bench with chip tray top. Includes quick change gearbox, collet closer, 10 collets, 4 jaw chuck, faceplate, drill chuck, several conventional tool holders. Has been stored in house for last 15+ years, very clean and tight, excellent condition. Additional photos available from seller.
Price is $950. Buyer is responsible for all handling and transport.

I have no interest in it whatsoever, but it seems strange to see one in what looks like decent condition for a reasonable price.

That's what I was thinking. I see the threading dial, large dials, collet closer, V-belt drive on the spindle... And a reasonable price.

My question is this. What the heck is that on the floor under the bench that appears to strap to the bed? Maybe a grinding attachment?

ETA: Seems to be missing all of the gear train to power the gearbox?
