Long center lathes are hard to find anymore.
On an internet search I ran across an old post on here about a 36" x 300" Lodge & Shipley Lathe from Erie, PA.
Maybe somebody out there has a similar machine ?
I need a lathe with say 24" to 36" swing x 22' to 24' centers++. I can go longer, but space is an issue. Overall length cant be more than 400"
It has to have a Taper Attachment, and at least 2 steadies.

You are looking for a needle in a haystack. If it lacks a taper attachment consider a hydraulic tracer and if it lacks steadies adapt or make them.

What's that all about?

Tom
He's referring to me and my habit of "collecting" large wore out lathes. Largest is 40"x25'.

And dont worry Mark, I wrote the check for the final shop payment yesterday. I won't be buying any more machines probably for a good long while. Essential purchases only.......

Building is looking good.
Let me know if you need help moving that stuff around.

Fabchip,

It's not quite as long as you are looking for, but I have a Lehmann lathe with 24" swing and 8' between centers. It has the tailstock, tapering attachment, a three jaw chuck, a four jaw chuck, and two steady rests, but one is smaller than the other. Peterson Machinery near me in Casa Grande AZ has a 32"x288" Lodge and Shipley. They have a couple of other large lathes as well (40"x16' American HD, LeBlond 26"x192").
