hoesch1.jpgGerman Rail (Deutsche Bahn) or predecessors, has a problem. Axles and wheels must be machined quicker and more precisely. Steel maker Hoesch responds by creating a manufacturing division in early 1950's.
Quite a few purpose built tools are put into production. This solves Deutsche Bahn's problem and as importantly, allows worldwide export. Machines with indefinate working life. And in the end, they put themselves out of business.
