Wow, that looks like one heck of a useful mill. I always wanted one of the universal type mills. Unfortunately, they're always in the wrong place, or I just don't have the funds when they become available.

I have owned one of those years ago. They are very nice, but they are not as stiff as a vertical only Toolmaster in the vertical use.

You can split the head if you like and put the end on the face of the ram.
