mattsix told me this mill sold last week. I don't know why he didn't show this as closed
-
He is also very heavy on for sale ads. Need to start to participate more.....
-
i offer for sale ads as a courtesy to the group before i go to ebay and have received no complaints from those who have taken advantage of them.i have no doubts that the items will sell there and want to offer them here first possibly for less money.no problem,i'll stop.i didnt bother closing the thread as nobody responded for awhile.
-
Did you read the rules about participating members? Simply participate more or sell less.

"This forum is intended for active members. Some allowance is given for first time members but do not abuse the privelage."This is the only rule that pertains to this conversation.that "rule" is unclear as i dont see myself as an inactive member.even selling is being active.i'm a tool and cutter grinder and machine as a hobby,so i dont have the knowledge many others have.i participate when i have knowledge of the subject.what you see as selling my wares i intended as sharing or offering to forum members first as i'm in an area with lots of machine tools. Not an issue,i'll go straight to ebay.if your a member here and bid,let me know and i'll try and knock a little off .Thanks and peace to all of you...matt

I had the opportunity to deal with Matt in person recently.
He is a very good fellow!
And enthusiastic regarding machine tools!
So long as the for sale posts remain in the classifieds. Let them continue!

Did you read post #4 at the following link?
Rules READ BEFORE POSTING

Ty cal,the experience was the same for me.Cal is a very pleasant and fair person and seems to have as much interest in vintage machine tools as myself.Traditional tools,"Please limit new for sale threads to two per day. Post as much as you want into each thread".This appears to be the fourth post.i could be wrong but i dont believe i have ever posted more than 1 per day let alone 2 or at least not recently.i dont think ive exceeded 2 in a week.listen, this is a very long winded conversation.i've sold very good endmills for $1 each, that's a buck.I promise i didnt go buy a dodge viper with the money.i did it to help out people here, shame on me.i'd like to continue posting things i believe others could benefit from but unless others speak up wanting it,i'll stop...matt

Matt,
Maybe you misunderstood me, post #4 means the one with the "#4" by it. It says:

And posting ads without pictures, prices, capacitys, and minimal descriptions doesnt help your cause. Frankly it makes you look incompetant.
I think all of our mileage varies, but don't think asking how much a tool or machine is worth so that you can sell it to someone is considered participating, but I'll leave that call to Mebfab, and in fact, this is really all his decision, IMO. He made the rules, he enforces them. The rest of us merely follow them.

traditional-tools,ty for pointing that out as i did miss it.as i said before,i make more money on the bay.sometimes i come across different or odd items.right now i have some rivett attachments that i was going to offer here first before the god knows who on ebay.i learn more everyday about machining but will always be at a lower level than most on here,i read the posts but honestly couldnt say anything that would be more than just spinning in neutral(saying things and not knowing what i'm talking about).no need for anyone to enforce anything,as i said i wont post any for sale ads and i will still try to help forum members out as much as i can.
