Default Rockford 16" vertical shaper slotter package deal

My friend and mentor who is a master machinist is scaling down his operation.

He specializes in both large scale line boring (he has a beautiful package of large boring bars and tooling for sale 6", 4" bars, facing heads, hydraulic equipment etc. etc.) and vertical shaper slotting work.

He is ready to sell his large slotter, a beautiful 16" stroke Rockford Hy-Draulic machine with digital read out, massive amounts of tooling including face plate chuck jaws, Huge 3 jaw chuck, 4 jaw chuck, many many toolholders, setup blocks, studs etc etc. Basically everything one would need to set up their own slotting/keyway cutting business right down to personalized operation lessons and handfulls of toolbits sharpened and ready to go!. $35,000

Located in Portland Oregon, professional rigging will be essential for removal.
    Will not sell to China.

Call or e-mail, and I will get you in touch with Owner

Thanks for the price reference. As I mentioned, am just helping a friend. The tooling included is well beyond what is pictured. Did yours have a ton of tooling, chucks, dro etc? So we are comparing apples to apples........And, from what I have been told sometimes the mid sized slotters sell more easily? Another factor that may help him to get a healthy price, is location.....not too many slotters for sale out this way.

Either way, I want to see him get maximum value for this machine, whatever that may end up being. For the record, I am not, taking a cut on the sale......this is part of his retirement.

Given how much money I've made over the years with my Rockford shaper I can attest how valuable these machines can be. But you got to be prepared to think "Slotter". IF you think like a mill hand...... it ain't gonna work.
