WTB Hardinge Bridgeport XR 1000 vmc

I'm looking to buy a Hardinge bridgeport xr 1000 in excellent condition with low hours.
Options of interest are

Fanuc 18imb control
15000 rpm spindle
48 tool changer

You can buy a GX1000 with a fanuc control new for a very reasonable price. The OSP controlled machine is also very nice.

The conquest 1000 is a little more and looks like a substantial machine for the money.

The new Conquest V1000 have the Mitsubishi M70 control but I am not sure of the price. I have seen the GX1000 with OSP controls for around $80k at the shows. I am with Edster, a new one would be better than taking a chance on a used one.

Another thing is the Conquest V1000 only has a 12k spindle. The standard GX1000 comes with a 15k spindle but has a OiMD Fanuc or the OSP. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your input daryl. I have found the info online is confusing. Some sites say 12000 rpm max and this link say the V1000 has an optional 15000 rpm spindle in the Product Description.

Standard spindle on the GX1000 is 10k. I don't recall there being an upgrade on the OSP version but I may be wrong.

There was a 12k option but none in the pipeline when we got ours. The V1000 does look good- quite a bit cheaper then going to the genos or a mori dura too. I wonder how the chip control is- I'd pay a good bit extra for some front to back augers onto the conveyor.

Ours is running good now.
