Manufacturing Continues Growth for the 28th Consecutive Month In November
Manufacturing continued to grow for the 28th consecutive month in November; while the economy as a whole grew for the 30th consecutive month. The PMI registered 52.7 percent, an increase of 1.9 percent when compared to October's reading of 50.8 percent. A reading above 50 percent indicates that the manufacturing economy is generally expanding; below 50 percent indicates that it is generally contracting.
