Alright John, fess up. Was your purpose in starting this thread to distract him so he'd do a lot of posts here instead of on other threads?

Damn, Monarchist, if someone asks you for a slice of bread do you respond with a detailed history of wheat?

If he'd not have done, I might have suggested it myself.

Intentional or accidental, it has become a joint effort in an otherwise dead end thread that annoys fewer whiners anyway. Encourages 'venting' even.

Damn, Monarchist, if someone asks you for a slice of bread do you respond with a detailed history of wheat?
I might indeed point you to an excellent outdoor museum a few klicks North of Brientz, Switzerland where they do a rather superb job of explaining that, yes.

Homepage : Ballenberg Swiss Open-Air Museum

You would find it worth the visit. Far more to it than just wheat. Making of lime for mortar, gang saws that produce good planks at less waste of wood than rotary. All old stuff. Very old. All part of why and how the inventive Swiss grew and prospered by working smart as well as hard.

The Swiss have long understood wheat and the milling of it to make even better breads than the French or Italians are the more famous for. More nutritious and easier on the digestion as well. Major part of their diet, breads are, yet you don't see a lot of obese or sick Swiss, either.

    You should try those breads.

    So there!

I've got a feeling John bitterly regrets starting this thread as it seem to have put "Bill" into overdrive and at warp speed.

I've stayed well clear of any "ban don't ban" opinions but would suggest the time has come to close the thread and that's the first time I've ever suggested anything like that. This thread serves no purpose other than to dig ditches even deeper than they were.

    LOL!

    And you are here, voluntarily?

    Just why?

Running short of cooperative tools, fools, bystanders and unwitting victims for your ambuscade basher games elsewhere, are you?

Why else? Starving of their tolerance and generosity to feed your hungry ego?

PM has hundreds of other threads. Most but your own are very healthy and valuable ones.

They are threads filed by creative problem solvers.

Your threads are not even of problems you create. Far too lazy for that, you merely borrow problems from afar, then feed off the turmoil of their discussion.

More honest had you taken up pimping barnyard animals.

At least it would be more obvious whom - or what - was being f**ked.

This thread? 'Broken Arrow'. Ditches? Also look up triple-nickel-forty.

Your decrepit and rusty armoured vehicle is nose-down and stuck in an AT trap.

Nothing for it but to walk, not ride, back to your own lines now.

No, he would describe his preference for the GMO brand of whole grain bread grown with Monsanto critter killing spray products.

    Relevant?

I get "bashed" now and then by some for writing about politics and Denmark. I start a thread in another sub forum where I can help with something practical and machinist related I know about.

Read the posts and see who the real PM trolls are. Those giving "likes" are also included.

Questions re screw threads and tolerances - ask

To some it seems no longer about giving and sharing information. It's about who can fuck up threads first.

Hardly alone, really. Look around. Better men than I are tiring of his games.

I haven't suggested Gordon be drowned.. twice in succession, even.
I don't wish him any physical harm at all.

I have wearied of his parasitizing a manufacturing venue as a vehicle to feed his vicarious hunger for political turmoil, worse - in a country not even his own!

    Why here?

Why is he not active in one or several of the very, very, many political forums instead?

Easier for him to find on PM his preferred flavour of fools he can manipulate?

Are 'we' really so stupid as to be the richest source of food on the entire internet for his peculiar hunger?

WOW! OK, my obsessions, then: Dinosaur Current motors, SSD DC Drives, 8620, 41XX, Nickel-Aluminium Bronze..

    There yah go. It's America.

We just have different appetites and obsessions.

You'll understand some of the more wary folks will want to keep their backs to the wall wherever Bruce cruises with his greed and need?

LOL! Yes, but you would know better than most how I cannot resist taking advantage of even the smallest edge! Edited the post, BTW

Now, "take Bruce". Somebody? Please? I don't swing that way.

He is a fan too. He's told us what he is a fan OF, as well !!!

    "Too eager", is he?

No, it's you. That thread you started really doesn't belong in *that* forum. You've already posted the exact same thing in the past, in other forums, so just why post it there?

Personally I think you're a waste of space on PM - you really have almost nothing to contribute - but I wouldn't want you banned.

At least Monarchist owns some machinery and shows some indication that once he knew how to use it. I doubt you own anything more complex than a screwdriver and you've NEVER shown any sign that you know how to run anything other than your mouth (keyboard).

Martydom? That actually WOULD suit, you, Gordon.

But it is too merciful by half..

    I understand him just fine.

But while this idea is on the table, let's do something about

    " Gordon B. Clarke"

I love that ideas of post limits, or inability to start new posts.

It's seems it's always stirring political shit.
Why not find a political forum ?

One of the other forums I'm on has a member-moderation system. If you accumulate enough 'disapprove' votes then your reputation score goes negative. Get to a certain point, you can't start new threads. Go really negative, you can't post at all.

There are protections to stop pile-ons or crony up-votes and very few have ever been user-moderated out of posting but it has happened.

Be interesting to see what'd happen here with a system like that. I'd predict Gordon would be gone, Monarchist would be marginal with a balance between 'approve' and 'disapprove' and Welden would also be marginal.

But - I like things as they are. It's entertaining.
