Manufacturing of diesel aluminum tanks

I'm not aware of any coating inside aluminum tanks. Lots of modifications get made to lots of semi tanks long after they've left the factory by local welding shops. I doubt most of them give any thought to a coating. I've personally never seen any corrosion on the inside of aluminum tanks. Outside is a different story....

The ones on my truck are clear anodized. But the old truck was bare aluminum.

We used to do mods and repairs to alum. truck tanks--I can't recall ever seeing one that was coated on the inside. There's just no need for it...

Fab shops here do not coat for marine tanks.
Every coating I have ever seen in a tank ends up in the filters causing problems..
