But it wouldn't be expected to fly. As long as it could sit and rumble on the tarmac, and the people standing around it could pretend to be weekend bad asses, that's all that would matter.

That's a big "If" - Airplanes are probably considered to be too new of technology for Harley to be interested in them yet.

I dunno, radial engines and carburetors... They could probably get into that...

How would a Harley designed plane fly? Once they were done accessorizing it, it would be too heavy and have too much drag to get off the ground. But it would looks BAD ASS N RAW!

You know they'd put giant leather dangly things off the end of the wings.

And then it could be towed to Sturgis and you could enter to win a free T shirt

Not to change the subject, but back to the OP, the Bugatti pics were cool. But whenever I think about images of a car factory, the horn button girl at Porsche pops into my head.

ff to 3:17. I'd buy a new Porsche today if one of those came with it.

Ha - the director had to tell the camera guy like 4 times to keep the camera pointed at the steering wheel and not the girl!

If there's one 'accessory' about Harleys that I will never understand, it's that. Little girls' bikes have handlebar tassels, so why all these wanna-be tough guys think they're cool is beyond me.

only idiots do that one. never seen it on one some seriously rides.
who needs that crap beating on you and the paint.

first thing any one who actually rides one, not just keep it in the garage, is change the seat.
and Harley puts crappy seats on stock knowing that.
same with most of the functional comfort upgrades.

but boy can some people sped it on chrome never could understand that.

Sturgis is funny the guys with the big ass RV dragging the trailer with half a dozen bikes.
great place to ride and see the sights just not during rally week.
rally week is like the circus once is enough.

now if you want to be really amused try a HOG national rally you will be rolling on the floor.

The way it was explained to me is that the flapping adds extra visibility, helping to keep them safe from cagers....

Since they never ride anyway, and we all know you have to ride like the cagers can't see you (or just don't care that you're there), it still doesn't make much sense to me.

To the OP - both the factory and the car are things of beauty. Thanks for posting.

The factory / final assembly area looks gorgeous. Not really into the Bugattis ; still better looking than the Bugattis from the early 90s. The Bugatti factory from the early 90s (in Italy) was also stunning.

My fav supecar is the McLaren F1 LM. Gordon Murray and the McLaren team built something on a whole nuther level compared to other supercars.

I like the McLarens - way cool! But the Italians have been able to embody the Renassaince characteristics of beauty and grace in nearly everything they produce; from designer handbags to men's suits to firearms to motorcyles to cars to art to music. I love it all.

But that is not to say that I don't also admire and appreciate what other cultures have done. I love Porsches and Triumphs and BMWs as well. I'm not a big fan of Harleys. They are big rugged machines that appeal in a kind of raw way to our fascination with loudness.

I've ridden Harleys but I have never owned one. I have owned a Triumph and several Yamahas and a couple of Suzukis. I like performance and nice handling characteristics.
