Custom shims - any reccomendations for a custom shape approx 2" dia, 12 thou thick?
I am looking for someone to make some custom shims - approx 100 of them (for now). The material could be stainless, plain steel or alloy, and I have a DXF file. I guess this is one for the water-jet guys?
Let me know if this is your game.
Where i work, we do similar in stainless, but the parts are either photo etched, or stacked and wire EDM'ed.
Yep. We wire'm out. Especially if they have "shapes".

Send me an email with the dxf file and I'll give you a quote to wire edm them out. I do this type of thing quite often stacked and cut to print.
