I am in need of a set of bevel gears, 12 DP, 20° PA, one is 32 teeth with finished bore and keyway, no set screw. The other is 16 tooth, finished bore with a taper pin hole in the hub. The replacements are available but are made of sintered powdered metal and of varying quality. I would prefer replacements made of 1045, 4140-PHT or Stressproof.
Although my immediate need is for one set, if 5 sets would provide a significant cost savings per set, I would be interested. These are not high-specification gears as they just provide a 90° axis change for a hand rotated jack-screw on a mill's knee. I can provide either the worn gears or drawings for manufacture. For quoting purposes, I can provide overall length, diameter, bore, etc. to have sufficient information to quote.
