640T Lathe Alarm 26 Illegal parameter

Guys, I have alarm 26 illegal parameter on my 640T lathe what causes this and how do I reload parameters if necessary? It looks like the battery died over the weekend so I am assuming this is the cause of the parameters being lost. I do have a backup floppy disk but I am not sure which files contain the parameters I need to copy over if that is how you do it.

In order to see what you have on a floppy disk you need a CMT Mazak micro disk reader, looks like a small toaster.
Once you insert the floppy in the reader you will see 1 thru 2 or 1 thru 6 sections depending how it was originally formatted.
You will need to call up each section and select "Contents" to see what is in each section.
It will clearly display programs or parameters.

I am assuming you have a CMT or Mazak Micro Disk Reader, if you don't then you have a problem.

Couldnt he just put the disk in the machine and load all of it?

You need a CMT to do that because only a CMT interfaces with a floppy.
At this point we do not know if he has a CMT.

My 1998 M640 had a floppy disk drive.
