ALARM " 242 spindle orient time over " VTC-250d/50

machine : mazak VTC-250D/50
alarm : 242 SPINDLE ORIENT TIME OVER

i tried orienting the spindle and it never orients just keeps spinning and times out.

Call this number (281) 931-7770. this is Mazak Houston office ask for application department. they should able to answer this question. this is the fusion control so the alarm on another manual so I do not have it right now.

thank you i will call tomorrow,

the alarm goes away when you reset but it would not orient, finally after turning off/on, it started working again orienting and working properly.

this is the second time it happens.

something is sticking,,,,,

I believe the spindle orient is controlled by a (non-contact) proximity switch.
