Thread: Error 120 on mazatrol 640MT

Alarm 120 Soft limit X+
I am facing this alarm on integrex. All axis I can home except X.
Book says program has exceeded soft limit, make correction. I cannot find any error in any of the programs. Anyone has a suggesion.

Look at the max O.D. on first line of program. that nmber is probably too big.

Thanks! I have already checked but could not find in any of the programs. In fact I have deleted all the programs made/edited on that date or later. Any more suggestions?

you could try to open up your soft limits and see if you can home out the machine. if you are only getting the soft limit alarm and no absolute positioning error i doubt you lost the battery on that.

1)find x+ soft limit parameter
2)write down number
3)change to 9999999
4)home machine
5)change back to original number
6)lower price of oil

Mazatrol requires specialized knowledge of the mazatrol control. I've found that all Mazatrol fixes are easy IF YOU KNOW THEM and impossible if you don't.

This is one area that is a canned fix that a mazatrol phone support tech can handle by memory.

A lot of mazatrol issues simply require a good mazatrol "go-to-tech".

there seems to be some variation in the level of factory support for mazak depending on region. I used to work in the Mazak Windsor Locks CT office and I can state unequivocally that the techies up there are all EXCELLENT at phone trouble shooting! I can't speak for the Lower Slobovia Mazak tech centers around the world, however!
