Fusion 640M Backing up

You need a program for a pc that will talk to the mazak. You can contact mazak, they sell one or check out Camlink. This is what I use. I can backup everything as well as write the programs for the machine.

sure u can copy them to a flashcard.

goto data i/o page

select dir on the card

select copy to card

there are a few things you can copy to the card beside programs they are listed down and you just have to highlight them to copy

if you need some more help i can look it up in the manual to get into detail

There should be a floppy disk drive near the operator panel. It works with IBM format floppies. You need to select the floppy I/O button on the I/O page.

You need to select a directory first, key in a name to select (it will create one)
select cnc>floppy button then move the cursor to the parameter items and hit enter to select. After everything is selected, push the exec softkey.
The selected items will be written to floppy.

The card that alkometel mentioned is a PCMCIA slot to the right of the LCD screen. I have seen a few machines that did not have the card slot under the cover. You can use a Compact Flash card in a PCMCIA to CF adapter. The cards and adapters are getting harder to find.
