Mazak M4-1000 with 6T Fanuc- Need Manuals
Have the machine powered up, but goes into cycle hold when we reach any M function related to spindle rotation in program mode. Spindle will operate in jog mode. Spindle controller ready light not on. Feel that is problem, but do not have any manuals to sort out problem. Would like to purchase schematics, machine parameters to double check or help solving this issue. Machine was purchased in Tulsa, OK. and installed here in my shop in Missouri. Would like very much to get this machine operating. Any help will be appreciated.

What is the type spindle drive amp? Does the spindle run in MDI?
-
Routlaw, thanks for reply. MITSUBISHI DIAROL/DL-SCZ spindle controller and your second question, NO, the MDI does not function at all. Your help is greatly appreciated. WHAT NOW!!

Are you sure it doesnt look for any sensors like tailstock or quill in position? Do you hear and clicks in the selenoids?
-
Make sure you have a gear selected and that he spindle will run in Jog

Then make sure the voltage is changing at the SE1 and SE2 terminals on the drive. This is a DC drive. It requires only a Ready signal, a direction command (M03 or M04) and a speed command 0>10VDC.

You can download manual for DL/SCZ At MEAU Download site on web

I have a Mazak M4 with a Fanuc 5T control I'm working at getting up right now. I'm not familiar with this machine, but I do have all the manuals and prints for it and the control. If you can tell me what to look up for you I'd be happy to help (If the 5T books would help at all).

Did you get your machine working?
I have 2 of these machines and lots of manuals, I can copy a few pages for you if you need me to. Both my machines are for sale also.
