What was this options for? Was it to orient the live tooling rotation with the spindle? Could it be added after the machine was in place?

Swiss Type Machining
My Multiplex with a T-Plus Control has the "Swiss Type" machining function. In my machine it lets you transfer and synchronize the 2 spindles together to machine a bar "between centers" so to speak with either turret. The setup is complicated as is programming the transfer points. FYI if you have the manual that describes how to do this type of programming it does not work according to the procedure. I am working thru it now.
