Thread: Mazatrol Matrix vs. Mazatrol Fusion 640MN

Do you guys think the Mazatrol Matrix is worth having over the Mazatrol Fusion 640MN control?

Right now we have a new Mazak Nexus VCN-510C mill on order which right now they are currently shipping with the Fusion control. What I'm wondering if I want to wait a few months longer and have it ship with the Matrix control. I've read some of the stuff on the net about the Matrix and it sounds pretty good, but I'm also wondering what are the chances of this first batch having bugs in the system?

What do you guys think, wait a little longer for the Matrix or get the proven Mazatrol Fusion 640MN control?

Also any other thoughts are also welcome.

I think between the fusion and the Matrix Nexus the difference will be part program storage. Keep the fusion its proven.

the benefits of the Matrix control will definitly make it worth the wait... ESPECIALLY if you use Mazatrol at all... Multiple islands, tornado entry into pockets, extended maximum units... the list goes on...

Definately worth the wait, Plenty of new functions making on the machine programming simple.
