came in on dayshift to find this alarm on qt 250 cnc. now i cannot load, edit or run any programs. what caused this and how do i fix it? machine has been down for 2 days now

on some mazaks, did you try shutting power off and then back on?? (red and green buttons by monitor usually) it will reboot computer and you should see operating system reloading. this usually works when system is froze. be warned then, rarely but it happens a reboot causes a parameter to change (to default setting?) and sometimes a parameter needs to be reentered. 90% of the time a reboot works and nothing need to be done but home the machine.

found my answer. someone had turned on EIA monitoring by mistake . turned that off and all was well.
