New lathe questions

I a.m. familiar with mazak sqt18m with t plus control. I have been looking for another lathe I started looking for another mazak with newer control and sub spindle. Unfortunately I haven't found anything in our price range.

I started looking at other lathes but have never used anything other than mazak. I have never programmed in eia except in cad cam. I wad told Faunc has conversational control on the 0it controller. I had someone offer me a Kia that looks great but I am bout familiar with the control.

I use the lathe in a job shop environment sometimes short production runs and lots of one off work. Are there any other controllers as easy to program? Any recommendations?

Perfect lathe would be sqt250ms with bar feed and fusion or newer control under 40k.

Go with Mori seiki, Never had a problem with my lath and I really enjoy the Faunc controls. Lots of options for controls.

I ended up getting am integrex 200sy. Going to be a learning process with the extra axis.

Thats a big jump from your original 40K

I was going to suggests DMG/mori too. I saw the Mitsubishi control demonstrated at EMO on an NLX and it seemed very easy to program.
