QT29N tool eye

Hello , I have a QT20N Lathe looks like one side of the tool eye touch off is messed up do you guys replace tool eye or just touch off with paper? If you replace the Tool Eye where are you getting it at Mazak or Aftermarket anything would be appreciated for comment. Thanks

Definitely get the tool eye working again. Touching tools off manually is a PITA.

If your tool eye has 4 bolts holding it on like my 10N, then all you really need to do is just unbolt the tool eye and rotate it so the damaged tip is facing the chuck as this position is seldom used, then reinstall and re-calibrate it.

For sure replace it. This is the one I used on my Nexus 100. Works good.
