Just bought a 20 h-p 1996 model it is set up for 480v
need to now how to get it to accept 240v which is what I have
any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

If it's anything like mine.....there is a transformer on the back of the machine. Take the cover off and you will find a diagram that will give you the info to setup for most any voltage.

thanks for the replys I took a look and see what you where talking about I was missing a few of the bus connectors so I had to make me some will try to install today
also if I may ask what amp disconnect box and size wire r u using I am getting conflicting info my plack say 139v just not sure if that is for 480v or what
thanks again

Somewhere on the machine you will find a plate that has a KVA# on it... AT 240v KVA and Amps are pretty close, the number will
probably be somewhere around 130KVA.. That's every motor on the machine going balls to wall, plus some..

Now that you found the info you need to properly size the breaker, ignore it and put in on a 100amp breaker and you won't have a problem.
