Have this tool holder and the coolant ports are plugged probably with fines. Never have opened one up but it looks like there are white hard plastic caps over the SHCS that hold the VDI in place, before I drill them out is there a better way to remove them to or clean out the ports?
Under the white you should find a cap head screw, undoing all four will allow you to split the VDI fitting away from the rest of the body and give access to some of the internal fittings. (At least that is how all of mine work) Never had one where the cap heads are plugged. I can't remember if the coolant channels run parallel up through the body or if they jink as they pass through the various components.
