I have an SQT15MS with the Mark II turret and I am wondering if there is a way to slow down the turret index speed for setups? The thing indexes so fast that if I make a mistake, and I do, I have no time to react much less stop it. Also at full speed it can do a bunch of damage if I screw up. I know some manufacturers have the ability to slow down or even stop the turret mid index if needed.
It would be nice to be able to slow it down so I could use TPC to optimize tool clearance without having to worry about crashing the $hit out of it. So far all I have done is broken a small drill or two, I would hate to have a hard crash. Even if the the spindle is stopped, the turret indexing can do a lot of damage, or so I have heard.
Thanks in advance,
