Hi,
I'm looking for the parameter that controls the escape speed for outside threading. I used the parameter (f116) before on a matrix controlled lathe for clipping threads and would like to do the same on the fusion controlled integrex 400y.
Does anyone know the fusion parameter for the threading escape speed?
How do you guys clip threads on mazak lathes?

Thanks

I think parameter K19 is for the ending chamfer (escape distance)
My understanding is if it's 0 then you get a full thread depth at the ending point and the tool just exits in X
if it's 4 (for example) then it's a more gradual exit and you won't have a full thread depth at exit.
The number must be, times the pitch or something but I'm not sure about that. I'm guessing really.
Not sure what clipping is either !
Maybe you're asking about something else entirely.....

I meant to remove the first half of the imperfect thread. For the matrix I simply changed the escape speed (f116) and started threading a half pitch before the actual thread...

That's the way I write it on a matrix with parameter f116 set to 240000.
Used a .25 wide grooving tool defined as a threading tool for the second unit.
