Tool detection sensor on AJV25/404
I had an intermitent alarm that said to me "there is a tool in your magazine so I won't put this one away"-which there wasn't. I fiddled around with the aiming and adjustment screw on it, but couldn't get consistency out of it. I put in a new sensor and I'm still in the same boat.
The manual describes the adjustment of the sensor, but different tools trigger the switch differently and I can't make heads or tails of the green and red lights. Can someone dumb down the function and adjustment of the "stability" and "light" led's so I don't run tools into occupied spaces again?

is that a mchine that is shooting a light at a reflector?
and is it dirty?

This sensor is not used with a reflector, it's pointed down looking at the top of the tool in the magazine and it's not dirty.
Thanks

what sort of sensor is it?

Maintenance manual says there are two photo sensors. One at the magazine pocket without a reflector mounted vertically, and one a that shoots across the tool shank at the ATC wait position horizontally into a reflector. Probably one for "tool in pocket" and one for "tool in wait pocket or next tool?". I have the adjustment procedures cut, but to big for attachment limit on this website. PM me your web addy and I'll send them. They look like what you are asking for.

P.S. If you have the Maintenance Manual disregard this post cause that's all I got.

I do have the maintenance manual with the procedure, but it was just a short paragraph. I'll run through it again tho.
Thanks for your help guys
