Tool Setter Qt200 Matrix

2008 Mazak Qt200 with the Matrix control and the Omron tool setter.
2 axis machine. No live tooling. The X Plus axis plunger is sticking slightly. Still qualifies the tool, but doesn't spring back out. Have to pull it out by hand. And it's kind of hard to get a hold of. I was wondering if there was a way to index it 90 degrees moving the back turn side into the X plus side, and recalibration all three. Or any other advice would be appreciated.

have you tried hitting it with a little degreaser and then some penetrating oil? Old coolant tends to gum them up and make them stick.

I have heard of those sticking some. I think you can clean it if you are careful.
You can also rotate the tool setter like you asked. You will have to indicate it square again and re calibrate it also.

Thanks Edge22. So rotating it won't freak it out? Or screw with axis and direction?

I did try cleaning and lining it. Even took the c clip off and tried cleaning around the boot. It didn't help.

Nope you will just have to re indicate it square and re calibrate it. I forget the parameters for it but its not too hard to do.

Thanks guys. I cleaned it out with wd40 and it's working for now. I will index it if I start having problems again.
