Default tool setter on VTC-16 M32B

I want to know if the tool setter can be set up to work in the EIA mode. When I put it in the Tool Offset page, and run an T MSR Auto on a tool, nothing changes, but in the Tool Data page, the length changes.
    Thanks

I run mine Eia-only and I use my tool setter. I just leave it on the Mdi page where "Tool measure auto" is located, so I dont know where the numbers are changing. The only thing I know about all those tool pages is that the tool has to be defined as a drill (not an endmill) or mine wont touch them off. I can check tomorrow when I get back to the shop.

A parameter controls where to write the offset either on Tool Data or Tool Offset. Have to look to see which one it is...

... and why can't Spock measure endmills? Others do.... Only descriptions that can't be auto measured should be Facemills, Other and Chamfer I believe.

I looked thru my parameter book and could not tell which one controls it. If you can tell me which one it is, that would be great. Thanks a lot.
