Usualy takes a second look to grab your one liners Ox, but I actually spied that one before reading your post

Very VERY nice shop! Are you in the cellar of your own home? If so, it seems you've got decent height under the joists, so I envy you that.
BTW, what town are you in? I'm in Spencer.

Nice shop I like the tooling setup you have, The only thing is the machines are a little new for me. But then I don't make a living with mine.

Jason,
That looks great. I like to see home-shops like yours and Wrustle, and Ox's.
Let's me know I'm not to far out there, wanting to add equipment and stay home, too.
I hope to be there someday.
Yours is lookin' good

I like being home with my shop the plan is to put up a 30x40 shop about 50 feet from where my shop is now i hope to start the building in a few months. i need to add one more machine (and fast)a small cnc lathe, any one of any chap ones for sale in the MA,NH area I really wanted to buy a nakamura slant jr ($4000) that went up for sale but i missed out.
Jason,

Wow, Jason, nice shop!
Yep, a Nakamura Slant Jr would be an excellent cnc lathe for you. A rugged, accurate lathe. Methods sells and supports both Matsuura and Nakamura....so that would be a big plus.

Very nice shop I didn't realize it was in the basement of your house until it was mentioned.

Man - I bet them stairs are a killer. Brings new meaning to Johnny's "One Piece at a Time".
Hows about coolant smell upstairs?
A) You got a big smog hog down there?
B) Or no wife?
Manual machines you can prolly git away with, but once you gt into CNC territory - there WILL be coolant to smell!

no smog hog the vmc's are out in the garage part of the basement and there is a deck above the garage, the coolant doesn't stink (trim E206) surprisingly it doesn't go into the house when I'm running them, so far (3 months). manuals are worse i don't use the mister unit on the knee mill because it goes up into the house a lot faster.
oh and ahhh.... no wife
