    Default Home shop in Pa

I put my shop together. Then went right into a divorce. I was able to keep all my equipment and put a new shop together. I just finished it a few days ago. So after buying another house that I had to completely rebuild and rebuilt my shop I have been very busy since april 2010 needless to say.

    Default Centroid

    Hello,

It looks like you have a Bridgeport clone with a centroid in the background.
How does the centroid work out for you?

I have had no problems with the centroid control so far. I program with bobcad/cam version 23.

    Hey !
I drove down there last summer to snap some pix
    of the Saxon club building.

My grandpa from Beaver Falls took me and dad in there
when it was first built back in 1976 (or so) and I couldn't
remember it very well, but I knew I liked the building,
so I had to go back and photograph it.

Ellwood City looks to be a nice town.

I was looking at the photos of your shop, very nice. One thing I saw that would make an osha inspector go into cardiac arrest would be the surface grinder spindle without a wheel guard on it. It personally brought a smile to my face as I was brought up running without guards on toolroom grinders. It was impressed on me to have your mind on your work and take what your doing seriously,no day dreaming! Oh buy the way I still operate my own machines without guards if they impead the machining process. Still have all ten fingers in original condition, along with the rest of my original equipment, after fourty years of machining. So, glad to see someone else that is able to function without the blessing of government buracratic interfearance.

Yeah, I have the gaurd for it. But if you have done any leadframe die punch's or small die sections. It is nearly impossible to do them with the guard on sometimes. None of the Die shops i worked in had them either. (knock on wood) i still have all my fingers also. Oh and It is just me in the shop so osha shouldn't be a problem.

    Polarisx,

That looks good. I see you wore the little one out.

She is asleep in the office chair and has a backpack on the table.
