Minor diameters' of thread ring gage out of tolerance

Hello!

we have one UN thread ring gage, we sent out to calibration lab to get a long form calibration certificates, the Major diameter, and pitch diameter are all in tolerance, and passed. Just the minor diameter out of tolerance, hasn't passed.

Can we say the thread ring gauges are fine? as I know, the Minor diameter of ring gage don't have function and won't affect the ring gage's using.

More information would be helpful. What is the thread size, what is the tolerance and how far off is it measured to be?

When you write "minor diameter" as applied to a thread ring gauge I can also be in doubt if you are referring to the threaded component's "minor diameter" or the gauge's minor diameter. Not the same thing.
