purchased used optical comparitor. has mitutoyo scales, but missing readout. any ideas where to get used one? also, i have a sony readout on knee mill, was wondering if i could buy adapter cables and attach mitutoyo scales to sony unit?

You can find used displays on EBay.

The Mitutoyo and Sony uses totally different signals and are not compatible with each other.

Mitutoyo's KA counter lists at $521. You usually find them around $450.

If the scales have a 6 pin round connector, you can use a 09AAA207 adapter (1 per scale).
If the scales have a 7 pin round connector, the scales must be replaced. There is no adapter.
If the scales have 15 pin D-sub they will connect direct.

If are going to look for something used, make sure to ask about the above connectors on that unit.

Hi DRO guy: are you still active on this site? I have an AT112 with I guess 8 pins which is not in your list or do you ignore the middle ground pin?
