I use Mahr Millimess indicators to check progress for hand-scraping tasks, mostly with ruby tips since the surfaces I am checking have a lot of roughness and the ruby wears well. Recently I acquired a new Millimess and was surprised that it was the "e" version, which has a pair of data output ports.
Can I use this data capability to make a record of the quality of surface I measure? Is there a standard method I can reference, to make a reading of a surface?
Also, does anyone have a manual that describes the "e" series Mahr indicators, so that I can cable it and collect the output on my PC?
