I am hoping someone on the site has info on a sheffield (bendix) gage stand i Just aquired. It has a Model Number of T0104133 and a serial Number of GBC-157. Very heavy unit.
I would like to confirm what its original pourpose was (i was told it is a gage block comparitor) I am not convinced yet .I would also like to find out if anyone has a manual or information on these . I have a Blanchette BDG -1 for it ..(did not come with it) I have been able to read the head with this .
In my research it is pretty clear that the duel head comparitors are prefered for gage blocks . We own a ULM-600 horizontal metroscope. Not realy ideal for Gage Blocks.WE own a rcently calibrated set of grade 1 Cera Blocks that we will be using as our comparison masters.

Could you provide me with a picture?

I might be able to help you.

I have many old Bendix, Sheffield and Blanchette Tool & Gage catalogs and manuals.
