I just had three surface plates calibrated today by Precision Granite. They were really friendly people and did great work.
The surface plate stand for the big one wasn't done but I managed to get it supported by three points for calibration, using some very large 4x6. As it turns out the plates I had were in tolerance, but you never know when you are buying used.
Here is the surfce plate being moved into its temporary home. The pics were done before certification so it doesn't have the tag yet and still needs to be cleaned.
