I bought a Starrett Crystal Pink B grade 12x18 cheap. It's pretty scratched up, which I know isn't a problem in and of itself, but I suspect it may be worn in spots as well. I think it was mistreated. The gentlemen I bought it from ($10) said is was a nice piece of marble. I thought I recalled reading that there was someone near me I could take it to. Maybe in Central Jersey? Anybody have a contact?
Seems to me it's worth getting cleaned up at least and possibly reground. Its a nice stone in a size I find helpful for checking parts and tools.
