In each site glass I see a hole at the top of the white level gage. When running the machine am I supposed to see a trickle of oil running down to level oil or does oiling work on a "slinger" in both headstock and apron? Thanks.

Not all 10EE even have that white disc. There is a rather long, straight passage behind the sight glass. Oil in mine moves, wrong lube might even foam. Either way, need to read for top-up time when idle. 'Apparent' level can be a lie when at the gallop.
It's worth pulling the sight glasses and making sure that they are clean. The light spindle oil is so clear that it can be hard to see. If there is staining or varnish on the sight glass, it can look like there is oil, when in fact, the reservoir is dry.
