Default Lube Pump Filter Kit Install Sequense?

Sorry to bother with such a basic question, but I've got to ask. My new lube filter and screens arrived today from Monarch and I'm not sure what order they go on. The photos I took during disassembly don't help much because the parts in question were dissintegrated. It's too late to call Monarch and the filter assembley brake down isn't in my manual. Instead of guessing I'm going to just ask for help.

I've got one felt filter, 2 brass screens, (course and fine mesh) one spring clip and one flange ring or call it whatever.

This is my guess: Flange ring, fine screen, felt filter, course screen and finely the spring clip.

    Help

Inside to the outside. Coarse screen, fine screen, or maybe the screens are reversed, filter, ring, then the clip.

I thought this has been beat to death before but couldn't find the thread. I also thought it was from inside to outside: Coarse screen, felt, fine screen with the felt sandwiched between the two screens.

Guess nothing at all to do with oil gets by without some controversy!

Boy I don't want to start an argument here but Monarch's way of assembling the screens does not seem logical. Why wouldn't you want the fine screen contacting the oil/debree first?

logical order?: Course screen (felt support),felt, fine screen (first line of offense). Or maybe Monarch feels if the felt deteriorates, you have the fine screen as a back up. I suppose it doesn't matter, kind of like beating a dead horse.

    It's not "Monarch's way." It's Bijur's way.

The assembly sequence is not as illogical as it appears. The felts will deteriorate for various reasons. The screens being the last element before the pump offer a means of straining the bigger particles. I've seen pumps where the only elements left were the screens.
