Default Resistor source needed for DC panel

Hi, Been searching but cann't find the resistors for the 3 resistor DC panel.
Mine is a 1951 M/G. One 1600 ohm resistor has failed.

Looking for a source and part numbers for the (2) 1600 ohm and (1) 2000 ohm.

Even had a spare panel but it is the one with no resistors.

My machine had the same problem that Gunshack had, chattering DC contactors.

Thanks

Milton C.

It always looked like an Ohmite resistor, maybe one of the 270 series?

Ohmite is still in business, although only a very small fraction of its former self is available from stock.

If you have the Ohmite part number, that's a good start.

If you know the wattage and the resistance, that might be better.

Once you determine some details, go shopping on ebay.

Newark Electronics carries Ohmite. I have purchased replacement resistors for 10EEs from them in the past.

1600Ω isn't a standard value, but 1500Ω is, and works just fine. IIRC, those are 50 Watt resistors?

1500Ω/50W--Ohmite p/n L50J1K5E---Newark p/n 64K4992 $8.99 ea.

2000Ω/50W--Ohmite p/n L50J2K0E---Newark p/n 64K5003 $6.75 ea.

If there were space available, a 1500 and a 100 ohm resistor could be placed in series connection.

Also, a 2000 ohm adjustable resistor could have its tap set on 1600 ohms.
