I recently bought this lathe and am wanting to bring it back to its former glory. I’ll post a few pictures as soon as I figure out how….I’ve been away from the forum for several years.
Has anyone parted any similar lathes that would have a few parts that I need? I mostly am looking for cosmetic upgrades. For example, my carriage hand wheel has been broken and repaired. It was a good repair and functions perfectly, but I’d much prefer one that hadn’t been. As far as I know, this part is the same on pretty much all the monarchs from that era, so shouldn’t be too hard to find. I don’t mind spending money on it.
I’d like to hear from anyone who has experience with these. I’ve had EE’s and a 61 in the past, but I’ve never been around one of these.
