I have a 1964 rivett 1030. This was once a Boeing lathe. I have had this for about 17 years.
I do not use it much. Will be moving in couple years and down sizing a little.
So I would be interested in trading for a Harrison M300 or a very nice Logan 14 inch.
Why the Logan? I grew up using one. I like the variable speed.
The rivett runs well the cross feed screw needs to be replaced, it works but has some wear.
This a 440 machine. The step up to 440 is included.
This located in the Seattle area.
Will also sell out right too. Not in any hurry as I have couple years but if the right trade is there...
Thanks Ed

Yes, moving to San Juan island. Just more than I want to move again.
The Harrison is more to the size I need for playing around.

D1-4, not 3. AFAIK, anyway.

Monarch 10EE used D1-3.

Rivett and Hendey's toolroom/tool& gauge counterparts, the D1-4. Even if only for its larger bore.

I have a copy of a single page blurb (no date or date code) on the 1030S (not "F"). It states the standard spindle nose is the size L0 long taper and that both the 3 inch and the 4 inch type D1 cam lock spindle noses were available as options.

L0,D1..

Ed's had the beast for 17 years. Doubt that is any mystery to HIM.

Guess he's waitin' for we Chikn's to grow weary of guessing.. before he just up and TELLS us which this one has?

:)

I am not decided on price, hoping more for the right trade with similar tooling.
I have a lot of tooling for this lathe.
If I sell outright then I have to think what tooling to let go of.

The buyer cannot come to get the lathe. So now it is back up for sale.
6500$
500$ for step up transformer.

Tannewitz, I tried to send you a message but your PM inbox is full.

Good luck with the sale Ed, I love my 1030F. The D1-3 spindle makes yours particularly sweet.
