This is my pulley lockring, after I turned down all the boogered up bits from the previous owner. Has anyone made a specific tool for the lockring, or is the usual hook wrench the all that is needed? I figure I will either mill new slots, or drill two holes for a pin spanner. It looks like the previous owner also drilled a hole as if he planned to use a pin spanner, but then changed his and likely used channellocks.
How tight does the lockring have to be?
