Tips on removing round dial gearbox nameplate / badge ?

Obviously don't want to damage it....top half is "loose" ish. There is a pin, probably taper pin, for indexing the right hand knob still in place. Not sure how to get that out without making a mess.

I'm in the process of preparing the gearbox for paint.

I may just leave the badge in place as I don't intend to dig too far into this gearbox as it seems to be perfectly functional and clean inside.

The pins is just a cylindrical dowel pin. Once you remove the four screws (which you've already done), it's just a matter of working it loose. I used two 90-degree picks (from a set like this) in the screw holes on opposite sides to work mine free. The dowel pin on the right make it tight on that side.
