    looking to buy a Compound slide for my 1957 10ee.

    Russ gave me a number for Al Sharon but was disconnected.

    Allen Ray ‘Al’ Sharon
    Oct. 20, 1945 — Feb. 24, 2012

    Longtime Sonora resident Allen Ray “Al” Sharon died Feb. 24 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was 66.
    Mr. Sharon was born in Dayton, Ky., and lived in Sonora for 35 years. He worked as a master machinist and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
    Mr. Sharon was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He also enjoyed gunsmithing and watching sports on television.
    He also served in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and received numerous medals including the Purple Heart.
    Mr. Sharon was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Annamae Sharon.
    Mr. Sharon is survived by his brother, Gene Sharon, of Twain Harte.
    A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose Ave., Sonora.
    Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

    I bought several 10EEs from Al over the years, and always enjoyed the visit to his shop and the chance to talk Monarchs, with all the beautifully restored model 60s.

    If you find a compound to buy you better do it,, in 3 years of watching ebay I never found one complete so I bought a parts machine that had most of one and machined the rest to finish it. They seem to be rare when complete and ready to drop onto the bolts of the cross slide.
