Such as the current Positip 880 DRO. It seems you need an optional box, known as the IOB-89 to achieve the switching outputs. (there is a gazillion pin connector to the box, known as X51, on the back of the Positip DRO....you can see this connector on page 2 of below manual) The info on this feature is on pages 126 and 127 of the manual at link below

As best I can tell no one even bothers to show what the mysterious IOB-89 interface box even looks like.
(Now, who shall get the first Captain Obvious Dope Slap for saying "Why not call Heidenhain and ask them ?"....what I actually need is to be at IMTS in the Hedenhain booth on a slow day with their most brilliant engineer who is otherwise bored )
